School Bursary Presentation Night

David briefly spoke of volunteering, and thanked the school communities for their efforts, particularly catering on a regular basis for Rotary meetings, and tonight we have the Yea Water Tigers swimming club, volunteering to raise funds for their club. Thankyou!
David invited Julie Lynch, stepping up for Youth chair, Lily Cox who is overseas enjoying her honeymoon.
Julie introduced our visitors to Rotary’s focus on Youth, with programs Yea participate in including Youth Ex-change, RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) pro-gram, School Bursaries ($500 to each school, with funds awarded to student/s nominated by the school to assist with books, uniform etc.) and the Ruth Konig annual school to a Yr 12 student moving on to Tertiary Education ($6,000 over 3 years).
