Ron Litjens
Ron Litjens is an enthusiastic BUT amateur naturalist who has spent many years observing the interactions between wildlife and vegetation both on his bush block in Flowerdale and as a recent ‘townie’ in Yea. He is a member of the Strath Creek Landcare Group and Yea River Landcare Group and a tour guide at the Yea Wetlands. He is the author of the popular local nature blog, ‘Focus on Fauna’.
‘Faunascaping Your Garden’ is a look at the practical steps you can undertake to attract fauna into your garden, irrespective of what the term ‘fauna’ and ‘garden’ mean to you.

Charlie Nancarrow AKA – Charlie the Bee man
.
Another fantastic presenter at the 2025 Yea Garden Expo - Charlie Nancarrow
I am a beekeeper . I started back in 2017 and now I have 30 hives.
Which make over a ton of honey per year.
I have a honey and beekeeping shop in Yea. Where I sell everything from bee suits, honey, pollen, candles and beeswax and everything else bee related. Do you need help with your bees or beekeeping? Come and have a chat at the Yea Garden Expo.
Craig Castree
Craig Castree is presenting in the presenters' tent at this year's Yea Garden Expo. Craig has been a wonderful supporter of the Yea Garden Expo for the last few years.
Craig will talk about, Regen Edible Gardening, it is Craig's signature method that combines regenerative agriculture and horticulture with practical, backyard food growing. It’s about transforming your existing garden — no matter how small — into a living system that feeds you nutrient-dense food, improves soil biology, and supports the health of our planet.
Rooted in decades of hands-on experience and soil microbiology research, Regen Edible Gardening empowers you to:
Work with nature, not against it
Restore the soil food web and let beneficial microbes, fungi, and worms do the heavy lifting.
Grow real food for real health
Produce nutrient-dense vegetables, herbs, and fruit that truly nourish your family.
Rebuild the soil beneath your feet
Learn how to regenerate tired garden beds without synthetic chemicals or endless digging.
Short-circuit the industrial food chain
Reduce your dependence on supermarkets by growing more of what you eat — naturally and sustainably.
Be part of the climate solution
Small gardens, when managed regeneratively, can draw down carbon, protect biodiversity, and build resilient communities.
This isn’t just gardening — it’s regeneration from the ground up.
Black Snake Productions
Black snake productions will also join us at the 2025 Yea Garden Expo. On Saturday 20th September at 12.30. This is a not to be missed event for the whole family! A whole variety of different wildlife critters for the kids to see!
