GUEST SPEAKER - Rebecca Grant - Sprout Wellness, Yea.
Rebecca is 4th generation, Yea born and attended Yea Secondary College where Glenda taught her. She went to university and gained qualifications as a Naturopath then added to these as her business grew and she needed more tools.
Rebecca told us that her aim was to help people get well and stay well. She’s happy to integrate with GPs and specialists to meet the individual needs of each client which differ greatly and need different treatment.
One of Rebecca’s main fields of interest is sleep therapy for adults as sleep affects everything you do. She also described the 6 principles of Naturopathy.  Her talk raised lots of questions. Kristie gave the vote of thanks.
3 MINUTER—Charles Rattray.
Charles told us of the siege of Glenrowan in 1880 which involved his great grandfather and great grandmother the Stanistreets. There were 3 children including one who was to become John Sinclair’s mother. Then there was another link to Rotarian Les Hall. Interesting to see how history unfolds.
President Tony welcomed our Guest Speaker , Rebecca Grant.
He also outlined the plan for future meetings including inviting sponsors of our prize vouchers. On August 4 we will welcome Byron and Jane from Marmalades.
Tony asked that we invite guests to Rotary—not necessarily with a view to becoming members but so that we can showcase what Rotary does. Terry Hubbard and a small committee are working on lifting the profile of Rotary and attracting new members.
Our Sunshine account is growing and if Rotarians know of anyone experiencing hardship, physical or finan-cial please refer their case to Rotary.
Raffle tonight—Yea Foodworks voucher for $50 first prize, wine donated by members and chocolates—some donated, more needed.

Notice of Richard Forde’s funeral

There was also a copy of the District Annual Report and a Working with Children card for President Tony.
Yea Garden Expo—Will de Castella.
Jim has reported that 52 sites are already booked (value $8000) If we can get 3000 visitors over the weekend, we look at taking $40,000. So please keep spreading the flyers. They need to be out by mid August at the latest.  A mailbox drop is now scheduled for Yea, Kilmore and Wallan.
A roster will be circulated and will include 2 days prior to the event to set up so please commit to being involved on that weekend and remind other members to make themselves available
Jim reported that instead of paying for 2 billboards for 2 weeks, we’ve got 3 billboards for 3 weeks at the same price this year.
Glenda asked all members on Facebook to keep liking the Yea Garden Expo page as she is promoting a different vendor each day.
