David outlined his goal to visit 63 clubs between July and November this year.
He believes the Imagine Rotary is the best theme ever.
David gave an example of what has been achieved through the End Polio project where Rotary has donated $50 million per year and this has been made up to $150 million through the Gates Fund with the result that we now only have 18 cases of polio in the world per year.
The new logo shows 7 dots representing the 7 areas of focus for Rotary. The green line is a representation of the indigenous digging stick representing hard work and the colours overall are the same as the suffragette movement and represent the inclusion of women.
It’s up to us to respect all members, empower girls and women and aim to have 30% of fe-male members by the end of the Rotary year.
This means we have to care for members, creating a good club culture (a bad culture being the number one reason for members leaving). Clubs should be running member satisfaction surveys regularly.
Instead of inviting potential members to dinner why not invite them to become involved in a service project in their own town.
David then showed a video where RI President Jennifer Jones talked about inclusion and then gave an example of how he was given the chance to integrate into his local school be-cause someone built ramps.
The future could see new types of clubs eg cause based or corporate clubs. We can become more flexible to encourage a wider group of membership.
David then ended up with a couple of advertisements for the District Conference in March, the Rotary International Conference in Melbourne in May 2023.
He also announced the Shine On Recognition Awards for people with disabilities who have made a significant contribution to their community. Contain Lorraine Greenwood

He announced the Partners Project which was introduced by Lily and Liam (his children). It is Wheelchairs For Kids and is based in Western Australia. They make a wheelchair for $250 and are aiming at making 150 this year.
