GUEST SPEAKER—Chris Cobern, Landcare - Wildlife in our Backyards
Chris showed us the remote sensor cameras which are motion activated and used in Landcare programmes such as fox control in the Kinglake Valley.
He then went on to show us photos which had been taken on these cameras and which showed the wide variety of wildlife in our Shire.
These included the Bobuck—Mountain Brush Tailed Possum, Common Brush Tailed Possum and the Ring-tail Possum—all of which eat Mistletoe and are help-ing to keep that under control

Ponds and birdbaths have an important role in our gardens as do nesting boxes which create a safe place for the wildlife to live.

Lily spoke about all the different type of lawyers there are and how she has ended up as a Rural law specialist ( a bit like a GP)
She does everything from setting up trusts to handling matters of international law which is very client facing. Her specialty has become succession law finding options for her customers and put-ting them in place.
She finds the work stimulating and fast paced.
Lily wound up by reminding us all to update our wills!
